Tässä asussa lähdin viime viikonloppuna katselemaan koiranpentuja kaivopuistoon: mustat leveälahkeiset housut, valkoinen t-paita, tennarit ja yli-iso farkkutakki. Mietin, että voikohan leveälahkeisia housuja ja tuota jättitakkia yhdistää, mutta tykästyin tähän asuun itseasiassa kovin! Piilotin alle vielä paksun villatakin, joka lämmitti tuulessa ja lisäsin tuon huivin suojaamaan kaulaa (joka mätsäsi muutamankin koirakaverin huivien kanssa, eli tästä voidaan päätellä että olin siis vähintääkin yhtä tyylikäs kun ne paraatikoirat).

Oli aika viileä kun lähdettiin mutta tarkenin tässä asussa erinomaisesti ja lahkeet liehuivat kivasti tuulessa :-) Kaikkia koiria kiinnosti ihan superisti tuo mun laukussa roikkuva karvapallero (eli pompom, niinkun mä sanon) enkä ihan ajatellut vissiin loppuun että sehän näyttää ihan lelulta kun heiluu edestakasin, heh.. sain sitten suojella sitä kiinnostuneilta kuonoilta :-D Mitäs mieltä te olette tästä asusta? 

 / This was my outfit last weekend when we went to the puppy parade: black flared pants, white t-shirt, sneakers and oversized denim jacket. I was wondering if it's okay to combine flared pants with an oversized jacket but I ended up liking the combination a lot! I hid a cardigan under the jacket to keep me warm and even though it was quite windy I didn't get cold. I added the scarf to protect my neck from the wind and it actually gave a nice touch to the outfit (and turned out, few of the dogs had same kind of scarfs too so well, I was definitely being as fabulous as the parade dogs). 

Some of the dogs went crazy about the little furball on my bag and now when I think about it it's no wonder - it does look like a toy when it swings around while walking. I was then trying to protect it from many curious dogs :-D What do you think of this outfit? 

Puppy parade

(Tuossa ylläolevassa kuvassa on menossa syvä onnellisuuden hetki pörröisiä koiranpentuja syleillessä.) / (Here's me having a moment of true happiness when cuddling those furry little puppies.)

Käytiin tänään Helsinki Puppy Paradessa Kaivopuistossa ihailemassa isoja ja pieniä, sulosia, kauniita, pörröisiä ja kaiken muunlaisia koiranpentuja. Ei päästy kun yks askel eteenpäin kerrallaan ku riemunkiljahdusten saattelemana suurinpiirtein heittäydyttiin maahan antamaan vähän rapsuja joka toiselle pennulle... En enää tiedä, voiko koirakuume tästä enempää kasvaa! Tarttuiko kenellekään muulle näistä kuvista pientä koirakuumetta? 

/ We visited the Helsinki Puppy Parade today at Kaivopuisto and the amount of cute, beautiful, fluffy, big, small and all the other kinds of puppies was endless! We could only move one step at time as we had to stop for every other puppy to scratch them just a little... Not sure anymore if my puppy-fever can get any higher than it is now!

Viime aikoina olen... / Lately I've been...

• Ollut ihan koukussa spotifyn Young & Free -nimiseen soittolistaan. Kuulokkeet korville, sekotus päälle - hyvä fiilis ja musaan uppoutuminen on taattu. / Listening Spotify's playlist called Young&Free with a repeat. Goob vibes guaranteed. 

• Nyrjäytin nilkkani astumalla huonosti kolme kertaa viikon sisään. Paranemisprosessi ei tähän mennessä näytä kovin vauhdikkaalta. / Sprained my ankle by stepping badly three times this week. Healing process going not as planned at the moment. 

• Käytiin poikaystävän kanssa ottamassa kuvia pitkästä aikaa ja se oli tosi kivaa vaikka tuntu että rutiinit oli ruosteessa molemmilta. Kuvista tuli kuitenkin tosi hyviä, niiden käsitteleminen oli pitkästä aikaa tosi kivaa ja väreistä asti kuvista tuli just sellasia kun ajattelinkin. / We went to take these pictures with my boyfriend and it had been a while since any photography. It was fun though, even though for a while we both had no idea what to do and we just sort of stood there. But then we got into the flow and these pictures turned out actually just as I planned. Editing them was so nice after this break I've been having and I just absolutely love the colors in these photos. So hooked up on back light photography - it sort of brings such magic into the photos. 

• Kuvissakin näkyvistä kengistä on tullut mun lempparisyyskengät. Harvoin enää muut kengät eksyy edes jalkaan. / These shoes also seen in the pictures have recently become my favourites. I rarely use any other shoes anymore. 

• Oon taas innostunu meikkaamaan enemmän. Ostin vihdoin beauty blenderin tapaisen meikkisienen ja halleluja, mun meikkaamisesta tuli kertaheitolla helpompaa ja mukavampaa. Miksi, oi miksi en ostanut sellaista jo aiemmin. Yhtäkkiä meikkipohjan tekemisestä on tullut kivaa. / Doing makeup has become fun again as I finally managed to buy beaty blender -like sponge. My only regret is that I didn't buy it earlier as doing makeup base became so much easier and blending suddenly became a fun thing to do.

• Katsellut vapaina olevia koiranpentuja kennelliiton sivuilta ja yhdessä poikaystävän kanssa ollaan parhailla koiranpentuilmeillä kriiseilty koiranpennuntarvetta toisillemme. Nimikin kun on jo valmiina. / Been looking puppies for sale with my boyfriend, trying to convince each other with our best puppy eye looks to get a puppy. We even have the name already. 

• Saanut aikaiseksi kehitystä laulurintamalla. Vaivalla väännetty hakemuskin tuotti tulosta ja jo suurena voittona yksi koelaulupaikka saavutettu. Motivaatio on taas kohdillaan ja tästä on hyvä paahtaa eteenpäin kohti entistä isompia haasteita. Jos jotain tässäkin hakemusta vääntäessä opin, niin sen, että itseensä on uskottava. Oikein tosi kovasti. Silloin hyviäkin asioita tapahtuu ja eteenpäin on helpompi puurtaa. / Been singing and realizing some more development has happened again! Motivation is strong again and it's great to aim higher when you see results of your hard work - for example I got a invitation to one audition which I am super excited about. Good things do happen when you really believe in yourself.

• Saanut hirveän sisustusvimman. Tahdon eroon rumista verhotangoista, tarvitsen uudet verhot ja tapettikin on jo valittu. Lisää tästä projektista myöskin ihan omassa postauksessa - saa nähdä mitä siitäkin tulee kun me kaksi (jotka koskaan eivät ole tapetoineet) ruvetaan tekemään uutta ilmettä yhdelle meidän huoneista, heh. En tiedä odotanko innolla vaiko kauhulla :-D / Having a terrible interior fever again - I think it's the autumn... I want new curtains and new curtain hangers and we will get a new wallpaper too... I don't know if I'm excited or terrified about the facts that the two of us will try to put a new wallpaper on the wall to get a new look for one of our rooms. 

Perfect Sunday

Hellurei ja pahoittelut surkeasta postaustahdista viimeaikoina. Uusi työ vie paljon energiaa (vaikka nautinkin olostani!) ja käteni kipuilee, mikä vaikeuttaa tietokoneella kirjoittamista. Halusin silti tulla jakamaan teille kuvat meidän täydellisestä retkestä viime sunnuntailta. Ajettiin Inkooseen, Kopparnäsin virkistysalueelle missä käytiin myös viime vuonna (postauksen voit kurkata tästä!) ja musta on niin ihanaa vaan kävellä tuolla ympäriinsä - luonnossa on hyvä rauhoittua ja jos mua stressaa, niin kunnon kävelylenkki ulkona nostaa mielialaa. Se antaa myös hurjasti energiaa! 

Oli todella lämmin pilviverhosta huolimatta ja tuli toivottua hien valuessa useampaan otteeseen, että olisinpa valinnut t-paidan :D Meri oli todella kaunis niinkuin aina, luonto tuoksui ihanalta ja noooh, meitsi kompasteli joka toisessa hypyssä kalliolta alas ja liukastelin märkiin sammaleisiin poluilla. Jos meillä olis auto, niin käytäisiin tuolla varmasti ainakin 2 kertaa kuukaudessa. Tehtäisiin varmasti myös paljon roadtrippejä muihinkin puistoihin ja lenkkipoluille. 

Tykkään tosi paljon näiden kuvien väreistä. Huomaa, että syksy on jo kulman takana (tai no oikeastaan jo täällä) mutta toi valoisuus mikä näissä kuvissa on - se kertoo mulle, ettei kesä oo vielä kokonaan lähtenyt. :-) 

/ Hey everybody and sorry for posting so little lately, my new work takes a lot of energy (even though I'm enjoying myself!) and my hard is being sore, which makes writing really hard. I still wanted to share these lovely photos from last Sunday when we visited the Kopparnäs nature area in Inkoo. We went there last year too (see the post right here!) and I just love walking around there - it really calms me down if I'm stressed and a good hike gives me energy and happiness. 

It turned out to be really warm yet cloudy, but I definitely wished I had worn a t-shirt. The ocean was as beautiful as always, the nature smelled so good and me, well I almost tripped over like four times (where have my balancing skills gone?!) when jumping off the rocks and moving around the slippery paths. If we would have a car, we'd probably go walking there at least twice a month and make a lot of roadtrips to different nature parks and hiking tracks.  

I also really like the colours in these pictures. You can definitely see autumn is already around the corner but you can feel the warm summer breeze through the light in these pictures. Or at least I can :-) 

Hot dogs & friends

Jonkin aikaa sitten meillä oli pitkästä aikaa ystäviä kylässä ''illallisella''. Meillä on tapana kutsua toisemme kylään ja tarjota ruokaa - toinen pariskunta tekee ruuan ja toiset tuovat juomiset tai esim. jälkkärin. 

Me haluttiin Henrin kanssa tehdä jotain erilaista ja päädyttiin ''gourmee'' hodareihin, joissa olis ehkä pientä aasialaista twistiä. Ei mietitty kuitenkaan sen pidemmälle, vaan mentiin kauppaan ilman kauppalistaa ja päätettiin ainesosat vasta kaupalla :D Kävikin niin, että näistä hodareista tuli yks parhaimpia safkoja mitä me ollaan ikinä saatu aikaseks, mistä kertoo seki että kuola valuen puhuttiin näistä toisillemme vielä neljä päivää niiden syömisen jälkeenkin.

Hodarit pienellä twistillä:

1. Salaattipohja: salaattia, vesimelonia, herneitä, parmesaania ja oliiviöljyä 
2. Paahda hodarin puolikkaat paahtimessa ja laita jokaiselle lautaselle kaksi hodaria per naama, asettele salaatin päälle
3. Levitä jokaiselle leivälle runsaasti chili-tuorejuustoa
4. Tee Kimchi: Tarvitset kiinankaalia leikattuna, srirachaa ja limen mehua, sekoita ne kaikki yhteen ja lisää tuorejuuston päälle 
5. Raasta porkkanaa ja kurkkua ja sekoita ne raastesalaatiksi. Lisää valkosipulia, oliiviöljyä ja limen mehua ja lisää kimchin päälle. 
6. Meillä oli Tomaatti-mozzarella makkaroita (Prisma), mutta muunkinlaiset käyvät. Paista ne pannulla, halkaise puoliksi ja asettele sivuttain hodareiden väliin, raastesalaatin päälle.
7. Koristele tuoreella korianterilla ja tarjoa heti! Suosittelemme syömään haarukalla ja veitsellä. :-) 

Some time ago we had friends over for a late ''dinner''. We have a tradition of inviting each other over and serving some food - another couple makes the food and the other brings the drinks, or something else. 

This time me and Henri wanted to serve something a little different, and after a while of thinking we decided to go with hot dogs. We had a plan of making them with an asian twist, but we ended up going to the grocery store without an actual list and deciding the ingredients there. They turned out one of the best foods we've ever made. Like seriously, they were so good that we still talked about them four days after. 

Hot dogs with a twist: 

1. Salad on the bottom: salad, watermelon, peas, parmesan and olive oil 
2. Use toaster for the hot dog buns and put two on each plate, on top of the salad
3. Then use a big amount of Chili-Cream cheese for each of the buns
4. Do Kimchi: You'll need cut cabbage, sriracha and lime juice - mix them all together and add on top of the cream cheese
5. Grate some carrot and cucumber and mix them together as a salad with garlic, olive oil and lime juice, add on top of the kimchi
6. We used tomato-mozzarella saugages, but you can use normal ones too - just fry them on a pan, cut in half and lay on top of the cucumber-carrot-grate
7. Add some fresh coriander and serve! We recommend to eat with fork and a knife.

Lomamme toisen puoliskon kohde löytyi sekin Ranskan Rivieralta ja se oli Nizza. Viikkoa ennen meidän lähtöpäivää tuli todella järkyttävät terrorismi-uutiset Nizzan suunnalta ja se vaikutti myös meidän lomatunnelmaan ihan selkeästi. Huomasi, että pelko hiipi mieleen ravintolassa, rannalla, kadulla kävellessä ja myös ostoksilla. Yleisillä paikoilla kulki aseistettuja poliiseja ja jokaiseen ostoskeskukseen yms. kauppaan mennessä tarkistettiin kaikki laukut. Meillä meni kuitenkin onneksi kaikki todella hyvin.

Myöskään täällä päässä ei otettu sen kummempi paineita nähtävyyksistä. Tultiin Cannesista junalla Nizzaan (Lippu maksoi alle 10€ per naama) ja myös täällä meillä oli aparthotel - tosin kamala sellainen, jossa kaikesta veloitettiin ylihintaa. 

Löydettiin ihana aamiaispaikka nimeltä Pain&Cie, joka sijaitsi osoitteessa 3 Rue Louis Gassin. Siellä oli kohtuuhintaiset ja isot aamiaisannokset! Nizzassa oli lämpöä +26 ja me viihdyttiin rannalla maaten ja uiden. Kivirannalla olis kyllä ehdottomasti pitänyt olla jonkinlaiset uimakengät, oli ihan törkeen vaikeeta päästä veteen ja varsinkin takas ylös! Me kuljettiin ratikalla ympäriinsä ja 24H ratikkalippu makso 5€/hlö, eli ei paha hinta ollenkaan ja ''nähtävyyksistä'' kiivettiin Colline du Chateau:n näköalapaikalle ihailemaan maisemia, josta näkyi ihanasti rantabulevardin päästä päähän. 

/ Next stop on our holiday was Nice. About a week before we were supposed to leave, the heartbreaking terrorism news came and that definitely had a huge impact on our holiday mood. The fear was with you everywhere - when you sat in a cafe, when you walked down the streets, when sunbathing on the beach and also when shopping. There were armed police on the public streets and every shopping mall or shop you went, your bags would get checked. For us everything went really well though. 

In Nice we also didn't want to take any pressure on sightseeing. We just like to walk around new places without any actual destination. We took a train from Cannes to Nice and it costed under 10€/person, which is not bad at all. We also had an aparthotel in Nice, but it was pretty bad experience and everything in there costed extra. 

On the other hand, we found an amazing breakfast place called Pain&Cie at 3 Rue Louis Gassin where the breakfast plates were huge and prices were reasonable. We enjoyed ourselves sunbathing on the beaches, but getting into the water and especially back with all the rocks was so hard that you definitely should've had some sort of swimming shoes... 

We used tram to move around the city and 24h tram ticket costed 5€/person, which is not bad at all. About the sightseeing - well, we climbed up to see the view of Colline du Chateau and the view was beautiful: you could see all the way over Nice. 

Viimeisenä päivänä mentiin Park Phoenix nimiseen puistokompleksiin, jossa oli muutamia eläimiä sekä iso kasvitieteellinen puutarha (405 Prom. des Anglais, 06200). Päivä oli todella kuuma, siispä myös kasvihuoneessa valui hiki oikein urakalla. Tämä oli kuitenkin kävelymatkan päässä lentokentältä ja hyvä ajanviete viimeiseksi tekemiseksi ennen kuin oli aika poistua lentokentälle. Akvaario oli remontissa, eikä siellä ollut juuri mitään, mutta eläimistä löytyi mm. flamingoja, papukaijoja, kilpikonnia, lemureita, karppeja sekä muita lintuja. Kasvien kirjo oli myös oli upea - 3€:n sisäänpääsymaksun hinnalla todellakin käymisen arvoinen paikka. 

/ On our last day we visited Park Phoenix, which has some animals and a large botanical garden. It was a super hot day, so you were basicly melting inside the greenhouse. This was just a walk away from the Airport, so this was a nice (ha-haa) thing to do before heading to the airport. There was an aquarium which was though under renovation, but there were for example flamingos, parrots, turtles, lemurs, some carps and other birds. The variety of flowers was amazing and as the entrace free was only 3€ this was definitely worth visiting.
